![]() Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine & ShiatsuDudley KentCert. Ac (Beijing), MBAcC, MRCHM, MRSS The history of acupuncture & Oriental medicine reaches back millenia and it is the longest continually practiced system of medicine in the world today, with millions of people using it daily. This is often for problems that conventional medicine cannot treat or which causes unwanted side effects. Treatment is aimed at both the symptoms and root cause of illness and will take into account both physical and emotional elements as well as factors such as diet and living conditions. At the initial consultation patients will be advised as to which therapy is best suited to treating their condition. This may be a single therapy or often a combination of treatments, such as acupuncture and herbs. Of course should you have a particular preference we will be more than happy to advise you. Dudley Kent graduated from The Shiatsu College's 3 year practitioner training programme in 1993, and has been in full time practice since that date. In 1995 he completed acupuncture studies at the Beijing International Acupuncture Training Centre, and graduated in acupuncture from London Academy of Oriental Medicine in 1996. Dudley went on to complete 2 years postgraduate training in Chinese/Oriental herbal medicine at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture graduating in 1998. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and the Shiatsu Society.
