Physiotherapy

Ann-Marie McAndrew MCSP, BSc(Hons)

Amanda Goodwin MCSP, Grad Dip Phys, Dip Ac Prac Phys Sport.

Many of us experience pain at some point in our lives, be it stiff neck or shoulders after long hours at work, a sprained ankle on the football pitch, a headache, pulled muscle or something more serious.
In our hectic lifestyles, pain and injury can be a relatively common experience, but a well-trained Chartered Physiotherapist can usually help alleviate the discomfort and get you back to health quickly and make it less likely that the problem will reoccur.

Ann-Marie is a highly qualified and experienced physiotherapist whose primary specialisation is in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Employing a variety of treatment approaches that she has studied postgraduately: pilates, acupuncture and ergonomics; as well as the more familiar physiotherapeutic techniques, she selects and integrates the most appropriate to develop a treatment and rehabilitation plan for each individual.

Additionally she has wide-ranging experience of sports-related injuries gained from her extensive work with elite athletes at the QPR Football Club Academy, the Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) and from her involvement with the England Boxing Team over the last six years.

She is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM), a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI), a member of Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE) – capable of undertaking work related and workstation assessments – and is member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Acupuncture (AACP).

A Chartered Physiotherapist for twenty years, Amanda was for seven years the chairman of the London Region of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice. She has extensive experience in sports physiotherapy having worked with a variety of elite teams, including most recently the British Aquatic team and the British Womens Ice Hockey Team. In addition, Amanda has been based in the City of London for the last eleven years and has considerable experience and understanding of injuries arising from a stressful and demanding office-based environment.
